Good Performance & Service, but the Interface Needs Work

The Reffair Caligo 500 serves its purpose. The initial unit had water leakage issues; however, after contacting the Reffair team, they promptly sent a replacement and picked up the faulty unit.

While the product looks good, there is significant room for improvement regarding the touch buttons and display functionality. For instance, pressing the humidity button enters automatic mode, but subsequent presses cycle through readings from 50–80 in increments of 5. According to the manual, these are for "internal programming only" and cannot be selected. If these readings aren't relevant to the user, they shouldn't be displayed at all.

I also found the "Sleep Mode" logic confusing. On the third press, the product enters a low-mist mode and turns off the LED display (except for the sleep symbol). Since the display dims automatically after a few seconds anyway, this functionality on the 3rd press of the button feels redundant. Either the functionality is unnecessary, or the manual fails to explain its functionality properly.

Furthermore, the LED humidity readings are inconsistent, cycling through values that don't seem to reflect reality. I’d recommend using a separate, high-quality hygrometer for an unbiased ambient RH reading. On a positive note, the heater and timer functions work exactly as advertised.

Reffair Caligo 500 is a stylish well built product. It is well designed with top filling and touch controls with display. I had received excellent support from the customer care executive about setting up the product and operating it. She was very prompt and helpful and even called up later to enquire whether the product was working well. Very impressive customer service. Overall, the product is excellent and I am happy with my purchase.

This is one of the best Humidifer I have ever used. It has both cool and warm mist, which are suitalble in hot and cold seasons. The settings were good can adjust according to our needs. timer function is good. Humididfier stops automatically when there is not water in it. Overall a good product.

Just add 3-4 drops of your favorite essential oil to the water and it will improve the experience of your room by dispersing the aromatic mist into the air. When inhaled, these essential oils can have various effects such as promoting relaxation, reducing stress, improving focus, or even offering relief from congestion or allergies, depending on the specific oils used. The pleasant scents can also create a calming and inviting atmosphere, making the room feel more comfortable and enjoyable. (Note: When an essential oil is added in the water tank, it is recommended to remove the ceramic water filter).

The Ceramic filter is very useful as it removes impurities & excess minerals from the water to make sure that you breathe pure mist. It is easily replaceable & available for purchase at a nominal cost. It can be changed every six months. Reffair Caligo 500 is a completely automatic humidifier. It detects the humidity level around you and generates mist continuously till an optimum level of humidity is achieved. It has 2 levels of mist output & timer option as well. The major benefit of this humidifier is that it offers a Warm mist option which is very popular in Western countries. It is generally considered a premium feature normally available at double the price. Most humidifiers come with manual mode (without screen) only where you have no control over maintaining humidity levels. You need to sit by the machine & keep turning it on/off to control the humidity which is very tiresome & may deprive you of a good night's sleep. Whereas Caligo 500 stops automatically when the humidity is in excess & "Hi" icon appears on the screen. When the humidity falls it starts again. No need to adjust the knob or set a humidity target, this humidifier works completely automatically, just add water, plug it in, and press the power button. [Note: Caligo 500 humidifier will sense humidity & operate automatically in auto mode or continuously in continuous output mode, levels of humidity cannot be adjusted.
